More about Carol
Carol has over 20 years experience in recruitment, personnel, training and development with her last permanent role being Head Office T&D Manager for Next Retail Ltd. In 1997 she left Next and started her own successful training and development consultancy, The People Development Company. Covering all aspects of management, leadership, team and personal development, she has worked with a variety of clients from major blue-chip companies to educational and business support bodies and government funded development projects. After 13 successful years, Carol decided the time was right to re-brand her consultancy and she created Spice Learning to enable her to play to her many strengths and focus on doing more of the work she loves. Her facilitation style is enthusiastic and professional and is well received by a variety of delegates, from Senior Execs to staff working at hands-on, grass roots level as well as volunteer workers.
In her spare time Carol studies and performs with The DeCosta Singing Academy and York Opera with whom she has performed in both the chorus in principle roles. She is currently involved in a business and education partnership mentoring scheme and mentors a year 11 pupil at a local secondary school on a voluntary basis. She also enjoys baking and icing cakes and is regularly found in the kitchen creating (and testing!) delicious sugary concoctions. To counter this, she runs regularly and has completed the Great North Run twice.

[...] Our May networking meeting was held at The Hotel Du Vin in York. Our Guest Presenter was Carol Costello from Spice learning who we all agreed did an amazing job, she had us laughing and everyone was able to contribute to what turned out to be a very interactive workshop.
